Like all GP Practices in England, The New Hall Lane Practice is subject to supervision and inspection by the Care Quality Commission.
CARE QUALITY COMISSION (CQC)
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are the independent regulator of health and social care in England.
The CQC make sure health and social care services provided people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage them to improve.
They monitor, inspect and regulate services to make sure they meet fundamental standards of quality and safety and publish what is found, including performance ratings to help people choose care.
From April 2013 all GP surgeries had to be registered with the CQC and they will carry out inspections to ensure that the surgeries meet national insurance of care and treatment.
As patients of The New Hall Lane Practice you may be present when an inspection is carried out. The inspector will be involving patients in their inspection and you may be asked questions about the treatment and care you receive. The Practice visit is scheduled for 15.12.2016.
The CQC or CARE QUALITY COMMISSION visit and rate all NHS providers on a regular basis. To see this rating for surgery click on the link.
