Nurse Practitioners

A Specialist Nurse Practitioner consults independently for a wide range of medical problems. She can advise on your symptoms, examine, prescribe, and refer to another GP or specialist when needed.

Nurses

The practice nurses are available at the Health Centre weekdays from 8.30am until 5.30pm. They manage the Asthma and Diabetic Clinics, Travel Advice, Baby Clinic, immunisations, smears, and blood pressure checks. You can also get diet advice and help with stopping smoking.

Treatment Room Nurses

The Treatment Room Nurses are available for blood tests, removal of stitches, dressings, ear syringing etc. You need to discuss problems with the doctor before you see the Treatment Room Nurse.

The Treatment Room staff are employed by Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust. Their telephone number is 01772 777306.
