Secretaries handle referrals to other departments and hospitals. They arrange hospital appointments and follow-up clinical matters for the doctors.


Receptionists have a difficult job, being responsible for dealing with appointments; and carrying out doctors requests. They may have to ask for details of your condition to help the doctor to help you. All our receptionists and the rest of the Health Centre staff will respect your confidentiality whenever and however you use our service.

We have invested a lot of time and effort into training our Reception team to become Care Navigators and effectively direct patients to the most appropriate member of our clinical team, or to other local services.

We would sincerely appreciate the co-operation of our patients in allowing them to do this.
